Whats wrong with this picture?!?!?!?!

So when we heard that Julie was accepted for the job in Germany she submitted her resignation early and we hit the ROAD!  Our first stop was Vegas to check out all the new sandstone boulders there.  After a few weeks there a few of the kids that I coached in Vail flew in and we shot up to bishop for a few more weeks.  Once the "kids" had to leave Julie and I wanted to get back to Vegas for some unfinished business!  This was Julies first time having longer than 2 weeks to travel and climb so we had to make the best of it.

While in Vegas we stayed in Vegas hanging out at Sebastian and Deegans house with another good friend of ours Alex.  Julie and I both had boulder problems we were excited to try.  Julie had one problem high on this list something she has tried a little over the years of visiting, Monkey Bar Direct.  She has come close over the years but could never put it together before we had to leave.  This was true once again before she had to fly to San Fran for our close friends, Courtney, bachlorette party.  A four day weekend of rest was exactly what she needed to send.  She crushed the problem quick!  During the four days Julie was in San Fran, Alex and I hit up the boulders with our other friends Ben and Paul.  It was a fun productive four days, did lots of problems! The last thing we had planned to do before we left Vegas was to support our friends Nick and Missy on there wedding day.  It was a great wedding up at the top of Mandala Bay.  The view was amazing!

After the first two weeks in Vegas Julie and I parted was with Alex, just had to go to Hueco, and picked up the kids from the airport and headed straight to Bishop.  Once in Bishop we were all taken aback at the beauty surrounding the town of Bishop.  Every evening there was a perfect sunset, and every day we had perfect weather with 60s and sunny with 5 to 10 mph winds.  With all the excitement of being in Bishop we had to get to the boulders.  Once there the kids started crushing immediately, doing most of the classics in the Buttermilks and Happies.  I could get into all the problems we all did but it would probably bore anyone reading and definitely bore me typing it all!  There are some photos and a short video of a few of the problems we played on.

Once we were left Bishop there was some unfinished business in Vegas that needed taken care of.  Luckily things went well so we could leave a few days early to start our trek back east for our big move to Germany!
